Shares of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) ended Friday session in green amid volatile trading. The shares closed up +0.34 points or 0.27% at $126.51 with 12.12 million shares getting traded. Post opening the session at $126.85, the shares hit an intraday low of $126.00 and an intraday high of $126.86 and the price vacillated in this range throughout the day. The company has a market cap of $364.42 billion and the numbers of outstanding shares have been calculated to be 2.32 billion shares.
On August 25, 2016 Backtracking on its early announcements on digital privacy, WhatsApp is planning to share member information, phone numbers and analytical data with Facebook, to make revenue from the platform.
WhatsApp, which has more than one billion users, believes that the sharing of data can help in better friend suggestions and relevant ads.
In a blogpost WhatsApp said “We want to explore ways for you to communicate with businesses that matter to you too, while still giving you an experience without third-party banner ads and spam.”
Two years ago when Facebook acquired WhatsApp, Co-founder Jan Koum has declared that the deal would not affect its digital privacy. The change in policy might lead to legal battles in several countries. Many of the European countries are really concerned about the protection of personal data.
Shares of Nokia Corp (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) ended Friday session in green amid volatile trading. The shares closed up +0.10 points or 1.77% at $5.76 with 5.52 million shares getting traded. Post opening the session at $5.71, the shares hit an intraday low of $5.69 and an intraday high of $5.77 and the price vacillated in this range throughout the day. The company has a market cap of $34.25 billion and the numbers of outstanding shares have been calculated to be 5.77 billion shares.
On Sept. 2, 2016 Based on Nokia Corporation’s 2011 Stock Option Plan a total of 110 000 Nokia shares were subscribed for between July 26 and August 29, 2016. The subscription price was EUR 2.08 per share for 82 500 shares, EUR 1.82 per share for 17 500 share and EUR 2.35 per share for 10 000 shares. The total amount of the subscription price, EUR 226 950.00, will be recorded in the fund for invested non-restricted equity and, consequently, the share capital of the company does not increase.
The new shares carry all the shareholder rights as of the registration date September 2, 2016. The shares will commence trading in Nasdaq Helsinki (NOKIA) together with other Nokia shares as of September 5, 2016 and are expected to commence trading on Euronext Paris (NOKIA) as of September 6, 2016. Euronext Paris will publish a notice announcing the admission to trading on Euronext Paris of the new shares.
The amount of Nokia shares after registration of the shares in the Trade Register is 5 835 673 762 shares.
